Bemidji State University to eliminate theater program

Officials at Bemidji State University today have announced that the theater program in the College of Arts and Science's Department of Humanities will be eliminated under President Richard Hanson's recalibration plan for the BSU and Northwest Technical College. This announcement was delayed pending notification of affected faculty.

The president has asked college deans and departments to being the planning efforts needed to reshape remaining programs at BSU and NTC, as well as focus on emerging programs.
