The Wolves put the Beavers down 3-0 early, sweeping the doubles matches. Caley Westin and Meg Hafdahl were defeated 8-1 in the No. 1 singles spot, Nicci Hedtke and Jessica Dulz dropped the No. 2 doubles pairing 8-3 and Carlie Loeks and Carmen Backowski fell at No. 3 doubles 8-2.

In singles play, Deanie Hatch needed three sets to defeat Westin at the No. 1 slot (5-7, 6-2, 10-3), before the rest of BSU’s singles players were defeated in straight sets, which included a forfeit due to injury by Backowski at No. 6 singles.

BSU finished the day with an 8-1 loss to MSU Moorhead.

The Dragons swept all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead into singles play.

Moorhead increased its lead to 6-0 when Westin, Hafdahl and Hedtke lost their singles matches in straight sets.
