Bemidji St. meets Winona 6 p.m. Saturday in NSIC quarterfinals

BEMIDJI – Saturday’s NSIC men’s basketball quarterfinal game between Bemidji State and Winona has been moved ahead to 6 p.m. in Winona.

The Beavers (16-11 and the third seed from the North Division) advanced to Saturday’s contest by stopping Wayne State 71-54 Wednesday.

Winona is seeded second in the South Division and earned the home court for Saturday’s contest by defeating U-Mary 77-64 in Wednesday’s opening round.

Saturday’s other games see Upper Iowa (No. 4, South) at St. Cloud (No. 1, North), MSU Moorhead (No. 4, North) at Minnesota State (No. 1, South) and Augustana (No. 3, South) at Northern (No. 2, North).

Saturday’s winners will advance to the NSIC semifinals which will be played March 8 in Rochester. The league playoff championship game will be played March 9, also in Rochester.
