The Bemidji State University volleyball team won its second consecutive match Friday as the Beavers blitzed U-Mary 25-18, 22-25, 25-16, 25-11 at the BSU gym.
Bethany Thompson paced the offense with 19 kills without an error in 35 total attacks. Kelsi Crawford added 13 kills while Kimberly Hacker had 11 and Rachel Craig 10.
A run midway through the opening game set the tone. Trailing 12-10 Bemidji State scored the next seven points with Elissa Christensen at the service line. Craig and Thompson had two kills during the streak while Hacker delivered two kills and Christensen a pair of aces.
In the third game the Beavers opened a 4-0 cushion and U-Mary never threatened while Bemidji State forged a 17-11 lead in the finale and promptly ran the table.
JessiBeth McCannell had 48 set assists while Christensen contributed 16 digs and Leigh Peterson 13.
The victory upped BSU's overall record to 6-17 and its NSIC mark to 3-12. U-Mary dropped to 2-22 and 1-14.
The Beavers will entertain Northern State 3 p.m. today.
