Bemidji splits at Little Falls
The Bemidji Legion baseball team was tagged with its first loss in sub-district play Tuesday as Little Falls scored seven runs in the sixth inning to upset Bemidji 11-10 at Little Falls.
The Legion responded in the rematch, however, as it blistered Little Falls 19-4.
Cody Jenkins had a double and two singles in the opener while Zach Solheim blasted two home runs.
Trent Baker also went deep while Dom Hayle and Collin Leif each contributed a pair of singles.
In the nightcap Ryan Hirt went the distance and he was aided by four round-trippers.
Tyler Follis had a home run and two singles while Mitchell Hendricks and Cody Rutledge each had a home run and a single. Jenkins also had a home run.
Bellew finished with two doubles and a single and Hayle banged a triple and a single.
Tuesday's split gave Bemidji a 15-2 overall record and a 7-1 mark against sub-district foes. Bemidji will travel to Brainerd for two games today.
