Bemidji Speedway: Puffe is the new tech inspector
Bemidji Minnesota P.O. Box 455 56619

Bemidji Speedway has made many changes for the 2011 racing season and among them is the new "tech inspector" at the track, Dustin Puffe.

The 27 year old Bemidji resident has been involved with racing for six years and works as a technician for Sadek's Repair.

"My dad raced and I've been around racing all my life," Puffe said.

Racing now in the Wissota Street Stock class in the black #21x, Puffe lists four feature wins in 2010 as a rookie in the Street class as a highlight. In 2002 he also placed third in the national NOPA division in the Pure Stock class.

He also finished third in points at Bemidji Speedway in the Pure Stock class in 2002.

He will be "teching" all classes except the Street class at Bemidji this year.

Puffe lists Grand Forks, Greenbush Race Park and Bemidji Speedway as tracks he plans to race this year and his goal is to win a track championship.

He credits his family, his wife Trish, daughter Dezeryi, his father (also his pit crew chief) Jon Puffe and mom Jackie Matheny for supporting him in his racing career. And he appreciates the help of pit crew, Zack Peterson and Brandon Bahr.

"Without the help and support of my dad none of this would be possible," Dustin said.
