Bemidji School officials look at 2013 levy

BEMIDJI – The Bemidji School Board on Monday is expected to consider its preliminary 2013 levy.
Every year around this time, the school board adopts a preliminary levy and, then, in December, will certify the final levy. The final levy amount may not be higher than the preliminary levy.
The school board during the meeting will receive information about levy limits and discuss its options for a preliminary levy amount.
The school board will convene at 6:30 p.m. in the media room at Bemidji High School.
The school board meeting also will feature an update on Students First, an initiative that pairs Bemidji seventh-graders with success coaches within the community. The program completed its first year last spring.
