According to the approved agreement, the salary schedule was increased by 20 cents per hour for 2009-10 and 15 cents per hour for 2010-11.

The district health insurance contribution remains at the 2009-10 level for the duration of the agreement with a maximum district contribution of $565 per month.

The word, "step-child," was added to the definition of immediate family for purposes of sick leave use due to serious illness and for bereavement leave.

Also included in the agreement was an increase in the annual stipend for staff in a position which requires a boilers license or swimming pool license from $800 to $1,300. An increase in the annual stipend for lead custodians at the Bemidji Middle School and Bemidji High School from $600 to $1,200 was also approved.

The estimated cost for this group is $93,366.46 for a two-year settlement of 2.55 percent based on the Minnesota School Boards Association costing model. This includes all costs for salary steps, longevity steps, insurance premium contributions, PERA contributions, FICA and other fringe benefits.
