Bemidji School Board: Superintendent evaluation process to stay the same

The Bemidji School Board agreed by consensus Monday night to keep the superintendent evaluation process the same as in the past few years.

The board evaluates the superintendent annually.

The board will gather input this month from its own members as well as school district employees who work directly with Superintendent Jim Hess, according to Ann Long Voelkner, board chairwoman.

The board will also meet with Hess, who will present his review of the school district's accomplishments and the direction in which the school district should go in the future.

In a closed meeting, the board will then complete the evaluation of the superintendent. The board will share an evaluation summary at the July 21 board meeting.
