Bemidji School Board to meet

BEMIDJI - The Bemidji Area Schools Board of Education will hold its monthly meeting Monday evening.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Bemidji High School Media Center.

First up on the agenda is a first reading of the revised Finance - Payment of Fees and Other Charges, which, if passed, would waive activity fees for students who are dependents of currently deployed military personnel.

The board will also vote to approve the student handbook and school calendar for the 2012-13 school year.

The board will also hear from members of the 2011-12 Curriculum Review Committee, who will answer questions about the new science curriculum materials.

As always, members of the public are invited to attend the informal listening session at 5:45 p.m. prior to the school board meeting.
