Bemidji receives Bicycle Friendly Community award

BEMIDJI – The city has been awarded a bronze-level Bicycle Friendly Community award by the League of American Bicyclists. A community bike ride will be held beginning at 11:30 a.m., Oct. 22 in celebration of the award.

Mayor Dave Larson, the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota, Parks and Recreation Director Marcia Larson, Diane Pittman of Shifting Gears, members of Active Living Bemidji and others will be participating in the ride.
