Forty-four eighth-graders, two teams of 22, at Bemidji Middle School participated in the World Math Day competitions Wednesday. Bridget Spychalla and Brandon Reynolds of Team 14 test their skills in addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and mixed. Students were allowed to compete online in 50 one-minute math games against other students in the world. Last year the Bemidji team placed 11th out of 56,082 schools throughout the world.
