Girls 8A, 8B

The Girls 8A basketball team divided its final two games at the Alexandria Invitational, beating the Alexandria Red 36-31 before falling to the Alexandria black 36-18.

The team ended 8-7 on the year.

Against the Red, Bemidji led 16-14 at the half.

Casey Palmer hit 12, Claudia Bellew 6, Taylor Kane and Kayla Snell 5, and Tara Bergeron, Anna Fogarty, Abby Hinrichs and Claire Laakso 2.

in the loss to the Black, Bemidji trailed 21-9 at the break.

Snell had 4, Palmer and Fogarty 3 and Bellew, Bergeron, Caroline Kuether and Laakso 2

The 8B won its division beating the Alex Black 13-5 and the White 21-11.

Against the Black, Brenna Thompson hit 7 and Rachel Riley 6.

In the White victory, Elizabeth Parsons had 6, Thompson, Riley and Aeryn Brouillard 4, Whitney Reed two and Zadie Kingbird 1.

Ron Koski and Jose Hernandez coached the A and B Teams this winter.
