Bemidji man who struck bicyclist had green light

BAXTER - A bicyclist who died here Tuesday night struck a pickup truck driven by a Bemidji man.

Gregory Marsolek, 51, of Brainerd was riding east on Excelsior Road when he entered the intersection of U.S. Highway 371.

Nell Rearick, 53, of Bemidji was driving north on Highway 371, and proceeding with a green light about 9:30 p.m., when the collision occurred.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crash.

Marsolek was pronounced dead at the scene. Rearick reported no injuries.
