Bemidji man dies after boom lift touches power line
BEMIDJI - A 49-year-old Bemidji man died Thursday when the boom lift he was operating came into contact with a power line.
Police, firefighters and ambulance personnel were called at 11 a.m. to Acme Tools, 2025 30th St. NW, for a medical emergency, a news release issued by Bemidji Police Chief Mike Mastin states.
The man, who is not being identified until family members are notified, was taken to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The Police Department is investigating the incident.
No other details were immediately available.
