Bemidji man arrested following high speed chase through two counties
A nine-vehicle posse of law enforcement officers engaged in the lengthy chase of a suspected drunken driver Thursday morning through two counties, reaching speeds of 120 mph.

The chase ended when several squad cars were able to box in a 34-year-old Bemidji man.
He is jailed in the Hubbard County Correctional Center on pending charges of DWI, open bottle and fleeing peace officers. When the man was ar-rested, the chase had moved from Hubbard County, over to Becker County and back into Hubbard.
The incident began around 10 a.m. when Park Rapids Police Chief Terry Eilers spotted a driver "turning donuts in the middle of the street and I thought, 'This is really dumb to do in front of a cop.'"
