The victory gave BHS a 12-7 record heading into its regular-season finale Thursday at home against Moorhead.

"Tyler did a nice job and offensively we were able to manufacture a few runs," said Jacks coach Mike Fogelson.

Bemidji opened the scoring in the second when Cody Rutledge was hit by a pitch, Tyler Tatro bunted him to second and a pair of wild pitches paved the way to the plate.

Bemidji broke the game open with five runs in the fourth.

Follis doubled to begin the rally and walks to Rutledge and Matt Hietala loaded the bases. Mason Bellew plated Follis with a single and another scored when Josh Kane was hit by a pitch.

Jeremiah Graves scored a run with his grounder to third and a wild throw on the play allowed another runner to score. The final run was courtesy of Mitch Hendricks' sacrifice fly.

Follis opened the fifth with a shot over the left-field screen and another run scored in the inning with Rutledge singled, Tatro walked and Hietala singled.

Bemidji made it a clean sweep at Detroit Lakes as the junior varsity won 15-2 and the freshmen team won 14-3.
