Bemidji HS volleyball goes 2-2 at Alexandria Invitational
The Bemidji High volleyball team went 2-2 Saturday at the Alexandria Invitational, dropping a pair of three set matches.
Bemidji opened with a 25-16, 27-17 win over Minnetonka, Kayla Hirt led with 11 kills while Jess Yost added six.
Brooke Homer had 21 sets and Courtney Homer four aces.
Hirt and Kelsey Heisler each had three blocks. Digs were not recorded.
Bemidji then fell to Rocori 25-23, 22-25, 15-7.
Hirt had 17 kills and Yost six. Brooke Homer had 28 assists and Courtney Homer two aces.
Hirt had two blocks and Courtney Homer 20 digs and Erika Weimann 17.
Bemidji then dropped a 25-21, 8-25, 15-13 setback to Renville County West. Hirt had 13 kills and Heisler 10. Brooke Homer had 28 assists and three aces while Hirt had three blocks, Courtney Homer 16 digs and Weimann 14,
Bemidji took second in its pool on criteria and met Wadena for third place, winning 25-2, 25-23,
Hirt led with 15 kills while Yost added six and Heisler five.
Brooke Homer had 26 assists with three players having two blocks and Weimann 13 digs and Megan Wannebo and Courtney Homer eight.,
The results left Bemidji at 19-5 It hosts East Grand Forks Tuesday in its next start.
Alexandria won the title over Rocori.
The JV stopped Alexandria 25-19, 25-21 and RCW 25-14, 25-21 but bowed to Moorhead 25-21, 20-25, 15-4.
The top two teams in the round robin played for the title with Moorhead winning again 25-17. 25-23.
It left Heather Anderson's JV at 10-5.
