The Bemidji High boys hockey team hosts Monticello tonight at Nymore Gardens in a 7:30 nonconference test.
The girls, meanwhile, head to Moorhead for the first of two meetings with the Spuds, both games Section 8-2A meetings with the boys returning to the 2A division after two years of single A play.
The boys opened impressively Tuesday, burying East Grand Forks 10-1 at The Glas.
Bemidji won last year's test at Monty 6-2 with Nemgar getting a goal and four assists and Mike Rees a goal and two feeds. Devescovi, Bitter and Kevin Larson also had goals.
No lineup changes are planned.
The B Team will also be after its second win, beating East Side 5-0.
Girls seek fourth
The girls will be seeking their fourth win of the young season and snapping back from their 2-0 setback to Roseau in their last start.
The wins came against Prior Lake, Wayzata and Thief River, that and Roseau Greater Minnesota Conference tests.
Bemidji has outscored its four foes 13-6 with Maria Thompson registering 52 stops.
The top line has carried the bulk of the scoring with Shelby Sauer showing nine points, Allie Lapp eight and Becca Gregg four including eight of the 13 goals.
Chaniel Nelson, Janie Johnson and Casey Miller make up a second unit and Karleigh Wolkerstorfer, Meghan Wannebo and Allie Heifort a third.
On defense, Emily Larson pairs with Jess Hunt, Annie Swartz with Amanda Hunt and Meghan Phelps with Caitlin Blotske.
The D has four goals and seven points, continuing its strong performance of last season.
