Bemidji HS girls basketball team on the road Friday to face West Fargo
The Bemidji girls basketball team will take a 4-10 record into tonight's game at West Fargo (8-3) and the Lumberjacks will be trying to snap a three-game losing streak.
In its most recent outing BHS dropped a 61-47 decision Tuesday at Little Falls.
A lack of offense has plagued the Lumberjacks this winter as they are averaging only 47 points per game.
Jess Yost is the lone player scoring in double figures as the sophomore averages 17.1 points per contest. Greta Steever contributes 9.8 points per game, Caitlin Hadrava 7.56 points and Summer Monsrud 5.2 points.
Cheyenne Woods is the team leader in assists with 58 and Monsrud has 33. Yost leads the Lumberjacks with 47 steals and Monsrud has 37.
Yost also is setting the pace on the boards as she has 189 rebounds, including 113 off the defensive glass. Yost also has 59 blocks.
Bemidji returns to the road Saturday at Thief River Falls and will be home Tuesday against Moorhead. February also features road games against East Grand Forks (Feb. 4), Alexandria (Feb. 12) and Duluth Central (Feb. 18) and home games against Detroit Lakes (Feb. 22) and Grand Rapids (Feb. 24).
