Bemidji HS girls basketball: Hirt scores 40 points and breaks own school record in win over Cloquet
Bemidji won the Battle of the Lumberjacks Tuesday night, stopping Cloquet 76-62 on the losers court.
Bemidji moved to a 37-28 halftime lead and added 39 more points to the total after the break.
Kayla Hirt set a school single game record, eclipsing her former mark of 38 set in the Moorhead with a 40-point performance.
It came on 18 field goals and four free throws.
Cloquet center Annabelle Morrisroe was almost as good, netting 31 on a steady series of layups.
