Bemidji HS boys basketball: Free throws lift Spuds to victory
The Moorhead Spuds proved better free throw shooters Saturday to hand Bemidji's boys a 72-69 basketball setback on the Spuds' court.
The game, as usual, developed into a free throw shooting contest with 56 fouls whistled. Moorhead made 29 of its 37 attempts while Bemidji netted only 18 of its 30.
It was a back and forth contest from the start that was tied 35-35 at the break.
