Tuesday's triumph was Bemidji's 11th in 12 starts while the Flyers fell to 8-5.

"If you can come here and get a win like we did you have had a good night," said Lumberjacks coach Jeff Brown. "Little Falls is a tough place to play and they are a good basketball team. This was a very good win for us."

BHS took charge early with an 11-0 run to begin the game and owned a 38-23 lead at the break. The Jacks extended the cushion to 48-28 early in the middle stanza and, although the Flyers were within 56-43 in the final six minutes, Bemidji quickly restored its dominance courtesy of buckets by Zach Declusin, Carey Woods and Mitch Brown.

"Little Falls concentrated on taking away our guards but Mitch (Brown) did a nice job of controlling the tempo and Grand (Richardson) really stepped up inside," the coach aid.

Richardson had a fine night in the paint as the BHS center converted six field goals and finished with 17 points.

Woods paced the Jacks with 31 points while Ryan Rude and Brown each tallied eight.

"We only had 12 turnovers against a tough man-to-man press," the coach said. "The kids played very well."

Bemidji will be home Saturday for a 3 p.m. game against Duluth Central and Tuesday it will host Grand Rapids.
