BEMIDJI -- "Terminal," a full-length suspense story by Brian Keene and Roy C. Booth -- based on the novel of the same name by Brian Keene -- makes its debut this Friday, Feb. 27 at the Paul Bunyan Playhouse in Bemidji.
Brian Keene is a two time Bram Stoker Award winner based out of Pennsylvania, with two dozen books in print -- five of which have been optioned for film.
The book Terminal is now in its third printing from Bantam Spectra and is presently being made into a full-length feature film by Nimble Pictures.
Roy C. Booth is a Bemidji native who is also an internationally award-winning playwright with 42 plays published to date. His plays have been or are being shown in over 600 productions worldwide in 23 different countries. Booth is also a published author, poet, journalist, essayist, comedian, game designer and screenwriter.
In addition to the production itself, which will be shown three times throughout the weekend, both playwrights will be on hand to answer audience questions, sign books and interact with attendees, many coming from as far as California, Colorado, Texas, Canada and New York City.
The play, which is presented by RCB Productions, will be filmed for DVD release. Throughout the weekend, fans of the original novel will also be asked to provide interviews and commentary for the DVD. Show times are Friday, Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m., and Sunday, March 1 at 2 p.m. The play is suggested for mature audiences only.
Concessions will be available during each show, sponsored by the Bemidji State University G.E.E.K. Club.
Tickets are $10 for all shows, and will be available at the box office at least a half-hour prior to opening curtain for each show. Ticket pre-sales are also available at Roy's Comics & Games, 507 Beltrami Ave., Bemidji.
The Paul Bunyan Playhouse is located inside the historic Chief Theater at 314 Beltrami Ave., downtown Bemidji.
