Bemidji golf team opens play at Fargo Invite
The Bemidji boys golf team opened the 36-hole Fargo North Invitational Friday by carding a 313 at Village Green Golf Course in Moorhead.
The Lumberjacks played in the early-afternoon round but half of the field was still on the course late Friday.
Elliott Leinen had Bemidji's low round Friday as he shot 75. Jordan Manick finished at 77, Zach Rickers at 80, Kodi Craft at 81, Kaleb Hanson at 83 and Jake Hoffman at 88.
The tournament will conclude today with another 18-hole round.
Bemidji's junior varsity finished with a 334 Thursday at Detroit Lakes. Fargo Davies won the meet with a round of 322.
Garrett Janeskala paced the Jacks with an 81. Matt Serratore shot 82, Ryan Erickson 84, Issac Bleser 87, Ben Hendricks 97 and Brady Hammen 98.
Friday at Park Rapids Bemidji was eighth in the 19-team field with a round of 346. Fergus Falls won with 305.
Sam Starkey had Bemidji's low round with an 85. Bo Borowski shot 86, Sam Bruestle 87, Erickson 88, Janeskala 91 and Austin Anderson 99.
