Bemidji girls golf team fourth at UNC Invite
The Bemidji girls golf team placed fourth at Tuesday's United North Central Invitational held at Blueberry Pines with a team score of 366. Staples-Motley won the seven-team event with 348, Pequot Lakes was second with 351 and Grand Rapids third with 355.
Trailing the pack were Wadena-DC at 418, UNC at 427 and Park Rapids at 499.
Emily Israelson of Staples-Motley was the medalist as she carded rounds of 38-38-76 on the par 36-36-72 layout.
The lone Lumberjack to break 90 was Meg Phelps who shot 47-42-89.
Katelin Craft finished 47-43-90, Megan Dondelinger 44-48-92, Kelsey Isaacson 49-46-95, Morgan Miller 55-50-105 and Savanna Hanson 55-50-105.
Bemidji returns to action Saturday at a meet in Wadena.
Originally the Jacks were scheduled to play at Longbow on Friday in a meet hosted by Detroit Lakes but that invitational was switched to today and BHS was unable to attend.
