Bemidji girls golf takes sixth at Long Prairie
The Bemidji girls golf team finished sixth at Friday's 16-team meet at Long Prairie and will head to The Vintage today in Staples.
Apollo captured the team title with 362. Alexandria was second with 366 and Brainerd third with 382. Also finishing ahead of the Lumberjacks were St. Cloud Tech at 385 and Buffalo at 386.
BHS shot 395.
Maggie Leland of Alexandria was meet medalist with a 77.
Bemidji's best was Meg Phelps' 47-46-93. Shelby Sauer finished at 50-47-97, Emily Frosaker 56-44-100, Amy Frosaker 51-54-105, Katlyn Kraft 54-54-108, Erin Buckanaga 53-55-108 and Aimee Sandquist 66-60-126.

The Bemidji middle school girls golf team took first place at Thursday's Park Rapids Invitational. The format consisted of two-person teams playing a scramble on the front nine and better-ball on the back nine.
Morgan Miller and Morgan Williams led the Jacks with a 78. Hailey Hinners and Savanna Hanson added an 86 to complete the scoring. The kickers were Mackenzie Hietala and Macey Lawrence with 91.
