Bemidji girls finish second in season-opening golf tournament
MONTICELLO - Sophomore Kelsey Isaacson, freshman Morgan Miller and eighth-grader Morgan Williams each shot in the 80s and led the Bemidji girls golf team to second place in Wednesday's 14-team Monticello Invitational.
Isaacson carded rounds of 45-42-87 on the par-71 layout and finished sixth individually. Miller shot 44-44-88 and Williams 45-43-88 to tie for seventh.
Rocori won the meet with 352 but the Lumberjacks were a close second with 354.
"At first we all were a little shaky but on the back-nine we all pulled it together," said junior Katelin Craft who shot 48-43-91. "I'm excited for the year and proud of the way the younger girls played."
BHS returns to action Tuesday at the Moorhead Invitational.
