Kinn sentenced to 52 years for murder, kidnapping, sexual assault

Bemidji girls basketball team to host Cloquet in quarterfinal Tuesday

The Bemidji girls basketball team was awarded the fourth seed in the Section 7-3A playoffs and will host Cloquet 7 p.m. Tuesday in the quarterfinal.

Tuesday's home game also affected the BHS boys basketball team which is scheduled to entertain Thief River Falls that night. As a consequence of the girls basketball playoff game, the boys game will begin at 5 p.m., varsity only.

Tickets will be sold separately for the boys and girls games.

The boys will be home March 4 against Detroit Lakes in the season finale.

Grand Rapids earned the top seed in the Section 7-3A girls tournament while Hermantown is ranked second and Hibbing third.

If the Lumberjacks win Tuesday they will head to Grand Rapids 7 p.m. Friday. Hibbing will visit Hermantown in Thursday's other semifinals.

Friday's winners will tangle 7 p.m. March 10 at a neutral site and that winner will advance to the state tournament.

Game 4: Game 2 winner vs. Game 3 winner, 7 p.m., neutral site
