Bemidji gains 8-3A title game after bouncing STMA, Rocori

ST. CLOUD - Bemidji advanced to the championship game of the Section 8-3A baseball tournament in St. Cloud Saturday, defeating St. Michael-Albertville 3-2 in 10 innings and bouncing Rocori 4-2 in the winner's bracket final.

The Lumberjacks are only one win away from a return trip to the state meet and they will try to earn that victory 7 p.m. Tuesday in the section title game.

The opponent will be either St. Cloud Apollo, St. Michael-Albertville or Rocori.

If BHS wins that game, which will be played at the baseball complex in St. Cloud, it will earn a spot at the state meet. A loss would force a Wednesday night rematch of Tuesday's game.
