Bemidji Downtown Meats issues allergy alert for three products
BEMIDJI -- The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is notifying consumers that Bemidji Downtown Meats of Bemidji has issued an allergy alert for undeclared allergens in Old Fashioned Hot Dogs, Old Fashioned All Beef Wieners and Cheddar Wieners produced and sold at the store. The label did not declare soy, wheat or milk as ingredients in the old fashioned hot dogs, and did not declare wheat as an ingredient in the old fashioned all beef wieners and the cheddar wieners, according to a press release from the MDA.
State officials are not aware of any illnesses associated with these products, but people who have a sensitivity to soy, wheat, or milk should be aware of the inclusion of those ingredients in the products.
Bemidji Downtown Meats has issued an allergy alert for the following:
• Bemidji Downtown Meats brand old fashioned hot dogs with "made on" dates of April 16, 2014 or April 29, 2014.
• Bemidji Downtown Meats brand old fashioned all beef wieners with "made on" dates of February 18, 2014 or May 3, 2014.
• Bemidji Downtown Meats brand cheddar wieners with "made on" dates of March 21, 2014 and April 24, 2014.
Consumers of these products with allergen concerns may discard the product or return it to the store where purchased.
