Bemidji curlers Alex Fenson, Mark Fenner in National title game

WAYLAND, Mass. – The Korey Dropkin rink of Massachusetts is one victory away from winning the USA National Junior Men’s Curling Championship and representing the United States at the Junior Worlds in Russia.

Dropkin finished 8-1 in the round-robin to earn the top seed in the Page playoffs and the rink continued its success Friday, stopping Scott Dunnam of Pennsylvania 7-2 in the 1 vs. 2 playoff opener.

That win vaulted the rink, which features Bemidji curlers Mark Fenner and Alex Fenson, into today’s 12:30 p.m. playoff final.

In Friday’s other playoff battle Jake Vukich of Washington eliminated Tony Wright of Minnesota 10-4. In today’s early playoff match Dunnam will square off against Vukich and that winner will face Dropkin for the title.
