Bemidji Chorale to host annual concert

The Bemidji Chorale, under the direction of Pat Mason and accompanied by Wayne Hoff will present their 31st annual Christmas Concerts at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, at First Lutheran Church, 900 Bemidji Ave.

The concerts are free and open to the public. A free will donation will be accepted at the door. Coffee and holiday treats will be served in the fellowship hall following each concert.

The concert includes a variety of musical selections designed to appeal to all. The concert will open with Mozart's "Laudate Dominum" featuring soprano soloist Theresa Eclov and Wayne Hoff on the pipe organ. "The Snow" by Edward Elgar will showcase the talents of violinists Mallory Pynn and Andrew Marten.

The Chorale will take listeners from moving, lush traditional choral sound to the whimsical joy of more contemporary music that is sure to make anyone smile. "A Little Christmas Music" arranged by Daryl Runswick will provide more than one choral surprise.
