The Beltrami County Emergency Management Department said plows were pulled from roads late Sunday. Numerous vehicles were stranded, some blocking roadways, as new snow totals ranged from 8 to 14 inches across the area.

The National Weather Servie said new snow is expected to be a half inch or less. Blowing snow also will continue as the winter storm warning remains in effect until noon.

In open areas, visibility is reduced to as little as one quarter mile.
