The Bemidji boys golf team carded a round of 346 and finished in ninth place after Tuesday's opening round of the Pequot Lakes Invitational.
Tuesday's action was played at The Pines Golf Course and the Lumberjacks will join 16 other teams today at The Preserve for the final 18 holes.
Today also finds the girls team starting its two-day event in the Pequot Lakes area, weather permitting, as the Jacks play at The Pines today and at The Preserve on Thursday.
Today's weather forecast includes a chance of snow flurries in the early morning but the temperature is supposed to improve by afternoon.
In an effort to take advantage of the improved conditions, today's start of the boys meet has been pushed back to 11 a.m.
The girls tee off in early afternoon and making the trip for the Lumberjacks will be Meg Phelps, Katelin Craft, Amy Frosaker, Savanna Hanson, Hailey Hinners and Morgan Miller.
Trey Dale and Caleb Hanson paced Bemidji Tuesday as they finished at 85 over the par-72 course.
Jordan Manick shot 87, Max Hazelton and Sam Starkey 89 and Elliot Leinen 92.
"We played okay but I think we could have played better. We had some big numbers out there," said Bemidji coach Seth Knudson.
Hermantown and Detroit Lakes each shot 321 Tuesday and will own a one-shot lead over Roseau and Duluth East heading into today's final round.
