Bemidji blood drive results
A total of 58 people volunteered to donate blood, and 46 were able to give during Bemidji's July 28 blood drive. Fourteen people gave blood on the automated 2RBC machine, which collects two units of red blood cells during the donation, so a total of 60 products were collected. Barb Treat and Mik Stavig coordinated the drive and First Lutheran Church sponsored and assisted with recruiting donors, publicity, providing refreshments and registering donors. Space to hold the drive was provided at First Lutheran Church. Donations will help meet the blood needs of many patients in 93 area hospitals served by United Blood Services.
