Bemidji benefits from Midco foundation

Sioux Falls, S.D. -- The Midcontinent Media Foundation has donated $66,853 in grants to regional nonprofit organizations, including two Bemidji recipients.

The Bemidji Parks and Recreation Department received $1,500 and Northwoods Habitat for Humanity received $1,000.

The Foundation has for 25 years provided support for nonprofit organizations in the communities served by Midcontinent Media Inc. and its affiliates. It has given grants totaling more than $3,000,000 to organizations for more than 1,500 community projects.

The Foundation reviews grant applications in March and September of each year. The next deadline for applications is July 10.
