Bemidji Beat: The elimination of the city's community development director

I'm thinking about Rita Albrecht today. I first met Rita in June 2007, when I first came to Bemidji and she was the assistant city planner. Bemidji was in the middle of its transition from having a city planning department to the full operation of the joint planning venture. Rita stuck with the city until August 2008, when she left her position as assistant city planner to join the Headwaters Regional Development Commission as a development specialist.
