Bemidji area youth firearms safety course begins Wednesday

BEMIDJI – The Bemidji chapter of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association and the Minnesota DNR are offering a youth firearms safety course beginning Wednesday at the Northern Township Hall.

The sessions will be from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sept. 19, Sept. 26, Oct. 3, Oct. 10 and Oct. 17. A range activity class will be either Oc. 20 or Oct. 27.

Howie Schultz will be the lead instructor and all students who wish to be enrolled should contact Schultz at 218-586-2577.

A copy of the youth’s birth certificate and payment of the $7.50 course fee should be brought to the first training session.
