The BAAE board of directors coordinated the granting of nearly $10,000 a year ago, granting funds to the Studio Art Cruise, a four-harpsichord concert at BSU, the Spoken Word Series, a Clear Waters Life Center sculptors' workshop, the Marriage of Figaro opera presentation, and others, as well as providing funds for three orchestral students to continue private lesson studies.
The 2012 grant round will include money from the BAAE Fund, as well as from the Everett Wilimek Endowment for Violin Studies, Ernie Rall Children's Performing Arts Fund, HB and Ina T. Roholt Family Fund for the Arts, North Star Arts Fund, Fred Marshall Fund for the Headwaters School of Music and the Arts, and Richard & Pam Nelson Family Fund for the Visual Arts.
The Bemidji Area Arts Endowment, established in 1998, enables individuals, families, businesses and organizations to give financial gifts to the arts.
