Bemidji Aerials compete at state compulsories
The Bemidji Aerials traveled to St. Cloud for the compulsory state meet last weekend. The Aerials had five gymnasts competing in the Level 5 state meet on Saturday and one in the Level 6 state meet on Sunday.
In the Level 5 meet, Hannah Mueller was the top scorer for the Aerials, scoring 33.675 in the all-around for a 19th-place finish out of 92 gymnasts. Mueller finished sixth on floor exercise with 8.825, 15th on the balance beam with 8.7, and scored 8.6 on the vault and 7.55 on the uneven parallel bars.
Courtney Mayer scored 8.3 on the vault, 8.35 on the bars, 8.35 on the beam, 8.475 on the floor and 33.475 for 22nd place in the all-around.
Stephanie Lauderbaugh placed sixth on the vault with 9.0 and scored 7.975 on the bars, 7.8 on the beam, 8.625 on the floor for 12th place, and 33.4 for a 23rd-place allaround finish.
Kennedy Mills scored 8.75 on the vault, 7.15 on the bars, 7.575 on the beam and 8.15 on the floor for a 31.625 allaround total.
Alexis Solo scored 8.25 on the vault, 7.8 on the bars, 7.15 on the beam, and 7.425 on the floor for a 30.625 all-around sum.
In the Level 6 meet, Tara Tesch hit 9.05 on the vault, 7.825 on the bars, 7.8 on the beam, and 7.525 on the floor for a 32.2 all-around score.
