Sentencings

The following cases were heard on September 30, 2013 by Beltrami District Judge John G. Melbye:

Robert Joseph Graves, 42, of Redby, was sentenced for third-degree DWI to one year in the Beltrami County Jail; 320 days of which is stayed for three years. Graves is to serve 45 days and was credited for three days served. He has been placed on three years court probation and must pay a $750 fine.

Robert Dean Tibbetts, 38, of Bemidji, was sentenced for third-degree DWI to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail; 320 days of which is stayed for three years. Tibbetts is to serve 45 days on work release if eligible. He was placed on three years court probation and must pay a $750 fine.

Steven Troy Eckdahl, 42, of Blackduck, was sentenced for domestic assault to 90 days in the Beltrami County Jail; 87 days of which is stayed for two years. Eckdahl is to serve three days and was given credit for three days served. He has been placed on supervised probation for two years and must pay a $500 fine.

Carl Lewayne White, 31, of Bemidji, was granted a stay of adjudication for driving after cancellation. Upon successful completion of two years supervised probation, the charge will be dismissed.

Leonard Dean Headbird, 37, of Cass Lake, was sentenced for fourth-degree burglary to one year in the Beltrami County Jail which is stayed for two years. Headbird was placed on two years supervised probation. Sentence includes a $1,000 fine of which $500 is stayed and $500 is imposed.

Matthew Paul Bryan, 27, of Pennington, was sentenced for felony fifth-degree drug possession to 15 months imprisonment at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud, which is stayed for five years. Bryan must serve 144 days in the Beltrami County Jail, which he was credited for as time served. He was placed on five years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine. Bryan was also sentenced to 365 days in the Beltrami County Jail, which is stayed for two years for endangering a child. He was placed on two years supervised probation and must pay a $500 fine.
