The property tax levy is expected to remain the same for 2014 as it was the past two years: $17,486,013. In September, the board adopted the preliminary levy with an understanding that a balanced budget had been developed. Total expenditures budgeted for 2014 are $70,737.020, the tax levy covers 24.72 percent of that total.

A public hearing will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 3 to set the 2014 levy.
