BEMIDJI -- The Beltrami County Fair offers a wide variety of smells for fair-goers walking the grounds. Whether it is the smell of your favorite fair food, the smell of the barn animals and yes, even the smell of the horse manure, all of it creates the perfect setting for the fair.
The Beltrami County Fair was busy Saturday, with a wide variety of activities for kids of all ages.
For people like Beth Zak and her daughter Sienna, 3, of East Grand Forks, the fair was an opportunity to take advantage of the carnival rides and games put on by Gopher State Expositions Inc. from St. Cloud.
For others, like best friends Avery Kapella, 4, and Sydney Beise, 4, crafts, there were fun kid crafts to do. The Home Depot had free kids workshops, allowing kids to build little wood crafts. Kapella and Beise both chose to make little baskets.
The Beltrami County fair would not be complete without the 4-H program and other animal judging's. The schedule for the judging was jam packed all week and will be capped off Sunday with an horse show, a dog agility show and a dress a cow contest.
People who have not had a chance to get to the fair yet can still go on Sunday before the fair closes until next year. Admission is five dollars per vehicle.
