The following cases were heard Oct. 15-16 by Beltrami County District Judge Shari Schluchter:

-- Derrick Wayne Spears, 33, of Ponemah, was sentenced for felony domestic assault.

He was sentenced to 14 months in prison with the sentence stayed for five years. He must serve 90 days in jail. He was placed on supervised probation for five years. He must pay or work off a $1,000 fine and pay $160 in fees.

-- William Arnold Moe, 55, of Bemidji, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with 353 days stayed for three years. He must serve 12 days in jail and was given credit for five days served. He was placed on probation for three years. He must pay a $500 fine and $85 in fees.

-- Clayton Lavern Taylor, 29, of Bemidji, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with 320 days stayed for four years. He must serve 45 days in jail and was given credit for three days served. He was placed on probation for four years. He must pay or work off a $1,000 fine and pay $185 in fees.

-- Richard Allen Fowler, 49, of Fridley, Minn., was sentenced for three charges.

For felony theft, he was sentenced to 23 months in prison and given credit for 153 days served. A $50 fine was waived. He must pay $110 in fees. Restitution was reserved.

For felony possession of burglary or theft tools, he was sentenced to 23 months in prison and given credit for 153 days served.

For a felony charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm when he is ineligible of possessing a firearm, he was sentenced to prison for 60 months, with 153 days credited for time served. He must pay a $50 fine and $160 in fees.

-- Robert Lewis Mootz, 52, of Bemidji, was sentenced for felony first-degree DWI.

He was sentenced to 42 months in prison. Conditional release after confinement was set at 60 years.

-- Nicholas Wayne Lindell, 32, of Bemidji, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor fifth-degree possession of drugs.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with 350 days stayed for three years. He must serve 15 days in jail on work release, if eligible, and was given credit for three days served. He was placed on probation for three years. He must pay or work off a $750 fine and pay $185 in fees.

-- Mark Allen Glynn, 45, of Bemidji, was sentenced for felony fifth-degree drug possession.

He was placed on supervised probation for five years. Successful completion of probation will result in a dismissal.

-- Brandi Lynn Stillday, 20, of Red Lake, was sentenced for felony first-degree burglary.

She was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 60 days credit for time served. She was placed on supervised probation for 20 years. Successful completion of probation will result in a misdemeanor conviction. A $50 fine was stayed for 20 years. She must pay $160 in fees.

The following cases were heard Oct. 8-11 by Beltrami County District Judge Paul Benshoof:

-- Josh John Jordan, 33, of Buffalo, Minn., was sentenced for gross misdemeanor DWI.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with 363 days stayed for two years. He was ordered to serve two days in jail, but was given credit for two days already served. He was placed on probation for two years. He must pay a $1,000 fine and $108 in fees.

-- Cheryl Lynn Smith, 33, of Redby, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor theft.

She was sentenced to one year in jail with 340 days stayed for two years. She must serve 25 days in jail and was given credit for 17 days served. She was placed on probation for two years. She must pay or work off a $300 fine and pay $143 in fees.

-- Andrea Jean Dobson-Swanson, 39, of Bemidji, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor DWI.

She was sentenced to one year in jail with 320 days stayed for three years. She must serve 45 days in jail and was given credit for 10 days served. She was placed on probation for three years. She must pay or work off a $500 fine and pay $185 in fees.

-- Curtis Eugene Isham Jr., 35, of Bemidji, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor driving after cancellation inimical to public safety.

He was sentenced to 181 days in jail, with 179 days stayed for one year. He must serve two days, with credit for two days served. He was placed on probation for one year. He must pay a $100 fine and $185 in fees.

-- Garland C. Richtsmeier, 44, of Eden Prairie, Minn., was sentenced for gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI.

He was sentenced to one year in jail, with 353 days stayed for three years. He is to serve 12 days, with eight days credit for time served. He was placed on probation for three years. He must pay a $500 fine and $435 in fees.
