The following cases were heard by Beltrami County District Judge John Melbye March 25:

Michael Cleves Jackson, 43, of Red Lake, was sentenced for felony first-degree DWI.

He was sentenced to prison for three years, which was stayed for seven years. Conditional release after confinement has been set at five years.

He was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 65 days credited for time already served. He will be granted furlough for chemical dependency evaluation.

He was placed on supervised probation for seven years. He must pay or work off a fine of $1,000 and pay $185 in fees.

Laurie Marie Tejohn, 30, of Cass Lake, was sentenced for felony fifth-degree possession of methamphetamine.

She was sentenced to prison for a year and a day, which was stayed for 10 years. She was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 49 days credited for time already served.

She was placed on supervised probation for 10 years. She must pay $1,000 in fines and $160 in fees.

Gregory Brian-Will Thompson, 55, of Bemidji, was sentenced for two counts of gross misdemeanor neglect of a child.

He was sentenced to one year in jail, with 245 days stayed for two years. He is to serve 120 days on work release if eligible. Credit for time already served is unavailable.

He was placed on supervised probation for two years.

He must pay a $1,000 fine and $85 in fees.

Tony Michael Donnell, 65, of Cass Lake, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor interfering with an emergency call.

He was sentenced to one year in jail, with credit for time already served unavailable.

He was placed on supervision for two years. Community service is granted for a fine of $500. He must pay $85 in fees.

Mark Andrew Thompson, 35, of Hines, was sentenced for felony criminal vehicular homicide or operation.

He was sentenced to one year and a day in prison, which was stayed for four years. He was sentenced to 63 days in jail, with 63 days credited time already served.

He was placed on supervised probation for four years.

He must pay a $1,500 fine, $160 in fees and $3260.08 in restitution.

Earl Robert Headbird, 21, of Cass Lake, was sentenced for felony fifth-degree drug possession. Successful completion of probation will result in a misdemeanor conviction.

He was sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 49 days credited for time already served. He was placed on supervised probation for five years.  

He must pay or work off a $1,000 fine, with $500 of that stayed if he completes treatment. He must pay $160 in fees.

Michael Joseph Roy, 23, of Bemidji, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI.

He was sentenced to one year in jail, with 335 days stayed for three years. Credit for time already served unavailable. He was placed on probation for three years.

He must pay or work off a fine of $750, with $185 in fees.

Dowayne Dennis Tolbert, 74, of Hines, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI.

He was sentenced to one year in jail, with 335 days stayed for three years. Time already served is unavailable

He must pay a $750 fine and $185 in fees.

Tanner Lee Pink, 22, of Kelliher, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI.

He was sentenced to one year in jail, with 320 days stayed for three years. He is to serve 45 days on work release if eligible. He was credited for four days already served.

He was placed on probation for three years.  

He must pay or work off a fine of $750 and pay $110 in fees.
