The following cases were heard by Beltrami County District Judge Paul Benshoof:

Ronald Eugene Brown Jr., 44, of Bemidji, on June 18 was given a statutory stay of adjudication for felony fifth-degree drugs. Successful completion of his probation will result in a dismissal.

He must serve 33 days in jail and was given credit for 22 days served. He was placed on supervised probation for five years. He must complete 200 hours of community work service and pay $160 in fees.

Nadine Lorelle Cloud, 34, of Minneapolis, on June 26 was sentenced for gross misdemeanor transaction card fraud.

She was sentenced to one year in jail with 344 days stayed for two years. She must serve 21 days in jail and was given credit for seven days served. She was placed on probation for two years. She must pay a $300 fine, $160 in fees and $876.37 in restitution.

David Michael LaDuke, 18, of Redby, on June 26 was sentenced for gross misdemeanor obstructing the legal process.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with 354 days stayed for two years. He must serve 11 days in jail but was given credit for 11 days already served. He was placed on supervised probation for two years. He must pay or work off a $300 fine and pay $160 in fees.

The following cases were heard by Beltrami County District Judge Shari Schluchter on July 2:

Kenneth Gene Lyons III, 28, of Squaw Lake, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor giving a peace officer a false name.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with 359 days stayed for two years. He must serve six days in jail and two years' probation. He must pay or work off a $300 fine and $160 in fees.

Thomas Andrew Bennett, 47, of Solway, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI, refusal to submit to testing.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with 350 days stayed for four years. He must serve 15 days in jail and was given credit for nine days served. He was placed on probation for four years. He must pay or work off a $1,000 fine and pay $185 in fees.

David John Michaud, 25, of Bemidji, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor interfering with a 911 call.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with 233 days stayed for two years. He must serve 132 days in jail and was placed on probation for two years. He must pay or work off a $500 fine and pay $160 in fees.

Gregory Lee Welsh Jr., 27, of Hermantown, Minn., was sentenced for felony third-degree drugs, possession of 3 grams or more of cocaine/heroine/methamphetamine.

He was sentenced to 39 months in prison and was given credit for 65 days served. A $50 fine was stayed. He must pay $160 in fees.

Jacob Michael Johnson, 21, of Bemidji, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with 335 days stayed for three years. He must serve 30 days in jail and was given credit for two days served. He was placed on probation for three years. He must pay or work off a $1,000 fine and pay $110 in fees.
