The following cases were heard July 16-19 by Beltrami County District Court Judge John Melbye:

-- Richard David Harris, 26, of Bemidji, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor domestic assault.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with the sentence stayed for two years. He was placed on supervised probation for two years. He was given a $1,000 fine with $800 stayed for two years. He must pay $360 in fees.

-- Mikeal John Archambault, 33, of Bena, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor giving a peace officer a false name or name of another.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with the sentence stayed for two years. He was placed on probation for two years. He must pay or work off a $750 fine and pay $160 in fees.

-- Seth Alan Raisch, 27, of Cass Lake, was sentenced for felony predatory offender - violates registration requirement or intentionally provides false information.

He was sentenced to 12 months and one day in prison and was given credit for 89 days served. He must pay a $50 fine and $160 in fees.

-- Steven Lawrence Vankauwenbergh, 32, of Bemidji, was sentenced for two charges.

For felony third-degree sale of drugs, he was sentenced to 60 months in prison and was given credit for 153 days served. He must pay $80 in restitution and $160 in fees.

For felony theft, he was sentenced to 21 months in prison and was given credit for 199 days served. He must pay a $50 fine and $160 in fees.

The following cases were heard July 23-24 by Beltrami County District Court Judge Shari Schluchter:

-- Janelle Ann Rogers, 43, of Bemidji, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor driving after cancelation inimical to public safety.

She was sentenced to one year in jail with the sentence stayed for two years. She was placed on probation for two years. She must pay a $1,000 fine and $85 in fees.

-- Aaron Lee Bohn, 24, of Wilton, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with 335 days stayed for three years. He must serve 30 days in jail on work release and was given credit for two days served. He was placed on probation for three years. He must pay or work off a $1,000 fine and pay $110 in fees.

-- Jodi Lynn Jacobson, 36, of Bemidji, was sentenced for felony fifth-degree possession of drugs. She was given a statutory stay of adjudication for five years; successful completion of probation will result in a dismissal.

She must serve 30 days in jail and was given credit for three days served. Sentence to Serve was made available for all jail credit. She was placed on supervised probation for three years. She must pay $1,000 in court costs and $75 in fees.

-- Aaron Matthew Himmelright, 19, of Laporte, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with 353 days stayed for three years. He must serve 12 days on work release and was given credit for three days served. He must pay a $500 fine and $360 in fees.

-- David Scott Stomberg, 58, of Bemidji, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with 320 days stayed for four years. He must serve 45 days on work release and was given credit for three days served. He was placed on probation for four years. He must pay or work off a $500 fine and pay $435 in fees.

-- Craig Peter Smith, 47, of Bemidji, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor DWI.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with 326 days stayed for two years. He must serve 39 days in jail and was given credit for 26 days served. He was placed on probation for two years. He must pay or work off a $500 fine and pay $185 in fees.

-- Travis Dean Brun, 32, of Red Lake, was sentenced for felony theft.

He was sentenced to 13 months in prison with the sentence stayed for five years. He must serve 88 days in jail and was placed on supervised probation for five years. He must pay or work off a $1,000 fine and pay $85 in fees.

-- Nathaniel Andrew Weidemann, 33, of Bemidji, wsa sentenced for felony fifth-degree possession of drugs.

He was sentenced to 13 months in prison with the sentence stayed for five years. He must serve 129 days in jail. He was placed on supervised probation for five years. He must pay or work off a $1,000 fine and pay $160 in fees.

-- Jamie Beth Skipintheday, 42, of Minneapolis, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor third-degree DWI refusal to submit to testing.

She was sentenced to one year in jail with 350 days stayed for three years. She must serve 15 days in jail and was placed on probation for three years. She must pay a $1,000 fine and pay $180 in fees.

-- Swede Robbin Carlson, 36, of Bemidji, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor second-degree DWI.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with 335 days stayed for four years. He must serve 30 days in jail and was placed on supervised probation for four years. He must pay $185 in fees.

-- Jacob Daniel Henseler, 19, of Chula Vista, Calif., was sentenced for felony fifth-degree possession of drugs. He was given a statutory stay of adjudication; successful completion of probation will result in a dismissal.

He must serve 21 days in jail and was given credit for one day served. He was placed on supervised probation for five years. He must pay $1,000 in court costs.

He was sentenced to one year in jail with 335 days stayed for four years. He must serve 30 days and was placed on supervised probation for four years. He must pay $185 in fees.
