Moorhead won the match 3-0. The game scores were 25-21, 25-18 and 25-21.

The Beavers (3-8, 0-1 NSIC) beat themselves, as the team posted a season-low .059 attacking percentage and a season-high 27 attacking errors.

The Dragons (12-3, 2-0 NSIC) posted just a .173 attacking percentage, but countered that mark with 11 team blocks and six service aces to BSU's five and two, respectively.

The loss continues the Beavers' losing skid to seven straight.

BSU wraps up weekend play today against Minnesota-Crookston at 3 p.m.

In the first set, the two teams traded points early and were squared at 13-13, but MSUM went on a run and took a 18-13 lead.

The Dragons never looked back and took the first set. The second set started like the first ended, as the Dragons flew out to a 6-0 lead. The Beavers fought back and got as close as two at 15-17, but would only muster three more points in the set. In the third set, it looked like BSU had finally found a rhythm and held the lead all the way to 15-15.

At 16-16, MSUM's Mary Sussenguth , who had served in the Dragons' run in the first set, came to the service line and pushed the MSUM to a 20-16 lead. The run deflated the Beavers and MSUM came away with a three-set sweep.

BSU sophomore Courtney Bitter had 25 set assists in the match and added a team-high 11 digs for her eighth double-double of the season.

Only one player on either team made it to double digits in kills and that was a Dragon.

BSU's leader was junior Nicole Olson, who posted eight kills and also lead the team in blocks with five (3 bs, 2 ba).

The Bemidji State soccer team continues its three game homestand this weekend

The Beavers play Minnesota State, Mankato on today and Southwest Minnesota State on Sunday. Both games are at 1 p.m.

BSU has been strong on both sides of the ball to start the season and have outscored opponents 24-1 through the first five games with four shutouts.

Brianna Duff, Kirsten Erickson and Ashlee Ellefsen are leading the BSU offense. The trio have combined for 11 goals and 12 assists this season.
