The Beavers shot 60 percent from the field and 56 percent from beyond the arc.

The Golden Bears raced out of the gates to grab an early 14-5 lead with 14:28 remaining in the first half.

"We probably sent our kids the wrong message going into the game," Bemidji State coach Matt Bowen said. "Concordia is a really athletic team. We were hounding our guys to have them stay back and not get beat; consequently, we were back on our heels."

A layup from Dermaine Crockrell gave the Beavers their first lead of the night at 19-18 with 11:13 left until half.

Bemidji State outscored Concordia 46-16 over the last 14:28 of the first half to build a 51-30 lead as the teams headed to the locker rooms.

"It was big," guard Bryce Tesdahl said of the run. "After those first five minutes we really got after it. After that we got focused and played Beaver basketball."

The Beavers continued its scoring rampage in the second half as they cruised to victory.

James Ellisor led Bemidji State with 21 points. Tesdahl dished out a career-high 12 assists in the win.

"I found guys open in transition," Tesdahl said. "We ran up and down the floor a bit tonight and guys were open. You can't get an assist without teammates knocking down shots."

The Beavers took care of the ball, with 20 team assists and just ten turnovers.

"Ten is a good number for us," Bowen said. "The best thing about the number ten is that we had three or four turnovers in the first three minutes of the game."

The Beavers only committed seven turnovers in the final 37 minutes of the game.

Bemidji State (12-5 overall, 7-4 NSIC) will host Minnesota State at 8 p.m. on Friday.

"The fan support this weekend was outstanding," Bowen added. "We are extremely thankful for the support from the fellow student athletes and the support from the community. It really does make a difference. I can't say enough on how appreciative we are and I hope they come back out next week."
